Reporting a Concern
My Voice
MyVoice is a confidential reporting platform developed by the Bowls Development Alliance (BDA) and the National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and is available to bowls club members and anyone with safeguarding concerns within bowls clubs in England.
MyVoice does not replace the existing safeguarding reporting process. In the first instance, any safeguarding concern should continue to be reported through the usual chain of reporting – to your Club or County Safeguarding Officer.
However, it is recognised that, in some circumstances, individuals may not feel comfortable raising a concern through these channels or may prefer an alternative method of reporting. MyVoice provides a valuable additional route for reporting concerns directly online.
Concerns submitted through MyVoice are automatically shared with both the NGB and the BDA to ensure they are managed appropriately and consistently. However, concerns can still be reported to the NGB by telephone or email if necessary.
Club and County Safeguarding Officers will be encouraged in due course to use MyVoice when submitting concerns, but Concerns can still also be reported to the NGB by telephone or email by those officers.
